Vorvöndur (Spring Gentian)

Material: 100% Icelandic wool
Meters and weight: 170m/50g per skein
Knitting size: 3 - 5 mm.

Each doll contains a simple Þingborgarlopi made from specially selected first-class lambswool. To achieve bright and shiny colors, the white lopi is hand-dyed with acetic acid dyeing, which makes each doll unique and different from the next - depending on how saturated the color is.

The name of this colour is inspired by the vivid blue flowers of spring gentian (Gentiana verna), a low-growing perennial that blooms in bright blue from spring into early summer. It thrives in rock gardens and at the front of flower beds.

Washing instructions:
Place the garment in warm water (30°C) with mild soap. Leave it in the water for five minutes. Then take it out, wring it out carefully and place it in clean rinse water. Squeeze out the rinse water and lay it on a towel to dry. Shape the garment and smooth it out.
