The Westfjords Mittens from Hörpugull are inspired by traditional knitting patterns from Iceland’s remote Westfjords.
These classic Icelandic wool mittens are knitted with Þingborgarband, a carefully selected undyed Icelandic lamb’s wool yarn.

When knitted on 2.5 mm and 3 mm needles, the mittens become dense, warm and beautifully detailed – perfect for cold winter days and traditional Icelandic outdoor life.

Included in the knitting kit (size M – women's size):

• Materials: 93 g of Þingborgarband in three colours

Lopi is a traditional Icelandic wool yarn known for its warmth, durability and natural water resistance.

Are the colours exactly the same as shown in the pictures?

Our yarn is usually hand-dyed, which means that no two skeins are exactly the same. In this case, however, the pattern uses yarn in natural sheep colours, so the finished mittens should look very close to the images shown.
